Linda Wilson - music minister & office assistant

It was during that time that he went through his first significant life crisis: his girlfriend broke up with him! The good thing about that (as so often happens) was that Mike began to ask some big questions about life: “Why am I here? What’s the purpose of life? Does God exist?” His personal discovery of the answers to those big questions led him to accept Jesus as his Savior and Lord just prior to his 21st birthday.
His spiritual journey continued until, through a variety of experiences, he felt God’s call on his life to become a pastor. That journey has led him to pastor in Las Vegas, Moab (Utah), the Lake Tahoe area, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Colorado, Sacramento, and now, Kelso-Longview.
He has been married to Lorie for 25 years and they have two great sons currently in college (as long as their grades hold up): Aaron and Benjamin.
Mike’s passion is to help people get to know, fall in love, and follow Jesus. He strives to make each week’s sermon a time where you can learn how to live (“put into life”) the words, directions, and principles from God’s Word.

Jon married his sweetheart Rachel two years after meeting her while working together at Big Lake Youth Camp They have been happily married for 11 years. They hardly remember what they did with themselves before they had their 3 little girls, Isabella, Myla and Nicola. Jon and Rachel share a love for Jesus and wish to follow Him wherever He leads their family.
Jon loves to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is by the gospel that we learn the character of God and find our true identity. We are forgiven and saved through what Christ has done. Praise the Lord!
Marcia grew up in the mid-west as a preacher’s kid. She has always loved the Lord and wanted to serve Him. During her teen years, Marcia considered becoming a pastor, but it was not really an option at that time. So she became a doctor instead. In 1980, the Stones moved to Longview and joined the Kelso-Longview Adventist church. Marcia had a private practice in the community for 17 years. In 2002 she retired from medicine and joined the pastoral staff as a volunteer staff pastor. Specific areas of ministry include visitation, small groups, webmaster and learning everyone’s names. She loves people. Nothing excites her more than to see people say “yes” to God and pursue a closer relationship with Him. To increase her ministry effectiveness, she is working on her Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from the Adventist seminary at Andrews University.
During uncertain times, she has clung to the promise in Jeremiah, “‘I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” She has found that we can take God at His Word. He is always faithful.

Linda Wilson - music minister & office assistant
Linda grew up in Beaverton, OR. She earned a BS degree in Dental Hygiene, but discovered she liked being mother to Kari, Paul and Tom much better than being a hygienist.
In 1990 Linda and Duane Wilson, with their family, moved to Kelso and joined the Kelso-Longview Adventist Church. She immediately became involved with the musical program. When Kari started school, Linda rediscovered her passion to become a teacher, spending several years working with the school music program at Kelso-Longview Adventist School. Several years later she earned her degree in Elementary Education and taught at Kelso-Longview Adventist School for five years. In 2006 she officially joined the church staff.
Linda organizes all the artistic aspects of the church service. She is the minister of music and is involved in coordinating the various parts of the service to present a unified whole. These areas include music, drama, stage design, and technical aspects.
In addition, Linda is the lead office assistant at the church office. She is behind the pleasant voice that greets you when you call the church. We are greatly blessed by Linda’s untiring ministry.
